No-Bake Oreo Cheesecake

No-Bake Oreo Cheesecake

“Easy no-bake Oreo cheesecake made with 6 simple ingredients and done in 20 minutes. Completely fuss-free and delicious, this creamy and rich dessert is perfect during summer, holidays or celebrations!”

When you want a slice of cheesecake but don’t want to turn on the oven, No Bake Oreo Cheesecake is the ideal solution. Creamy and velvety cheesecake filling sitting over a chocolaty Oreo cookie crust.

This cheesecake is wonderful and really good. My favorite sandwich cookie is used in making the crust and the cheesecake filling and toppings.

It’s a recipe that has all the luscious texture you could possibly want in a cheesecake, but it doesn’t require baking! That means you can prepare it in a matter of minutes, let it chill, and then you’re ready to eat.

A typical cheesecake needs several processes, bakes in a water bath, and runs the risk of spilling or splitting in the pan. There is a lot to consider, but not with this no-bake Oreo cheesecake. It’s SO simple and the only difficult part waiting for it to cool in the fridge and then limiting yourself to just one piece.

This No Bake Oreo Cheesecake is ideal during the summer and is also perfect for celebrations. Especially when you have limited time in your hands to prepare. Simply make the crust, fill it the creamy mixture and pop it in the fridge. It is a simple no-bake dessert that is creamy, chilled, and stuffed with cookies and cream. It can be done in 20 minutes or less.

Another good thing about this no-bake cheesecake is that it requires only a few ingredients! So yummy and affordable.

  • Few Ingredients. This dish uses only 6 ingredients and it tastes great.

WHAT IS A NO-BAKE CHEESECAKE

Simply defined, a no-bake cheesecake is a cheesecake that has never been baked. The crust nor the filling are not baked that makes it genuinely a no-bake cake.

The crust is usually made with crushed cookies combined with melted butter. The filling usually consist of cream cheese, cream, sugar and sometimes additional chopped cookies. Then it is chilled before serving.

Just like the traditional cheesecake, it’s a sweet and creamy dessert with a slight sourness made by the cream cheese.

This no-bake Oreo cheesecake is made using Oreo cookies. As a lover of cheesecake and Oreo cookies, this is a perfect combination cheesecake for me. And I want to incorporate Oreo cookies as much as I can, so I used it as crust, added it in the filling and toppings. Yummy!

CHEESECAKE: WHICH IS BETTER, BAKED OR NO-BAKED

Please don’t make me decide! I adore both kind of cheesecake. But because it’s SO EASY, I especially adore this no-bake Oreo cheesecake recipe. It has a lot of Oreos, which are my favorite cookie (did I mentioned it before?), and is ideal for both novice and seasoned bakers. It’s a welcome difference that no-bake cheesecakes have a fluffier and lighter texture than traditional baked cheesecakes. At the end of the day, it all depends on your mood!

INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING NO-BAKE OREO CHEESECAKE

This recipe for no-bake cheesecake is incredibly simple to create and only needs a few ingredients. What you’ll need are as follows:

list of ingredients-no bake oreo cheesecake
  • Oreo cookies: I bet you can find this cookies anywhere. I advise purchasing a big box to ensure you have enough Oreos if you intend to top this no-bake Oreo dessert with more cookies.
  • Unsalted butter: Since different kinds of salted butters can contain differing amounts of salt, I advise using unsalted butter. Melted salted butter helps bind the cheesecake crust together. You must combine your butter and crushed Oreo cookies before pressing the mixture into a springform pan.
  • Cream cheese: It is one of the main ingredient in cheesecake recipes. Allow the cream cheese soften to room temperature before mixing it. It will be lot simpler to handle. It will make the cheesecake filling considerably smoother.
  • Feta Cheese. Optional ingredient but recommended as it adds slight tanginess and stability to the cheesecake. Should be at room temperature to blend well.
  • Sugar: Makes a no-bake cheesecake fluffier by sweetening the filling. I used granulated sugar but feel free to use powdered sugar. Using powdered sugar keeps the texture delicate and airy.
  • Vanilla extract: For the greatest flavor, use pure vanilla extract. Because this cake won’t be baked, you must use a high-quality pure vanilla essence, therefore it must taste fantastic.
  • Heavy cream: Creates a rich, fluffy no-bake cheesecake. Just be sure that it is cold before whipping it. For the lightest texture, we’ll beat our heavy cream separately and mix it into our cheesecake filling, so make sure it’s very cool!

HOW TO MAKE NO-BAKE OREO CHEESECAKE

Making this no-bake Oreo cheesecake is quite simple. You can even cut the time by using tools such as a food processor to do the job of making your crust.  But, if you don’t have it, it will still be quick to prepare. The hard part is waiting for it to set.

Prepare the crust. This recipe’s foundation is an Oreo crust.

steps on How to make the crust

Using a food processor, grind 14 pieces of Oreo cookies. You can also use a ziplock and rolling pin to crush the cookies.

Pour melted butter into the grounded cookies. If using a ziplock, transfer to a bowl and combine the melted butter. Mix until well incorporated.

Pour mixture onto bottom of 6-inch round spring-form pan and press it down firmly using a spoon or a bottom of glass. Set aside in the refrigerator while making the filling.

Prepare the filling. This is where the creaminess comes.

TOPPING SUGGESTIONS

Aside from topping this Oreo cheesecake with chopped cookies, you can also garnish it with:

  • white, milk or dark chocolate shavings
  • chocolate ganache or sauce
  • whipped cream and crushed Oreo cookies

RECIPES TIPS IN MAKING OREO CHEESECAKE

  • I recommend using a springform pan so it will be easier to remove the cheesecake.
  • Make sure your cream cheese is softened at room temperature to achieve a smooth cheesecake filling.
  • Ensure that the butter is evenly distributed throughout the Oreo crumbles. Butter aids in their adhesion and solidification. A liquidy, bad-tasting crust would come from using too much butter, whereas a crumbly crust would result from using too little butter.
  • Apply pressure when making the crust to hold it together well. To make a nice and level crust, I frequently use the bottom of a drinking glass. Don’t hold back, but also don’t exert all of your strength.
  • To avoid the cheesecake turning “grey,” don’t process your Oreos for the filling. Just break them using your hands.
  • This should chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but overnight is preferable. This enables the cream cheese to set up correctly with the other ingredients.
