“This homemade buttermilk ranch dressing is delicious over salads or pizzas. Made with buttermilk, sour cream, and mayonnaise with fresh herbs, it’ll definitely have a place in your refrigerator every week.”

I must say that this homemade buttermilk ranch dressing will surely complement your salads or pizzas?

It’s made with fresh herbs, buttermilk, and a sour cream base. It has a gourmet flavor, is creamy, tangy, garlicky, and isn’t overly filling. You will love it as much as I do.

HOMEMADE BUTTERMILK RANCH DRESSING INGREDIENTS

This homemade buttermilk ranch dressing is created totally from scratch and is quite fresh. Here’s what you’ll need:

Buttermilk. Buttermilk adds taste and helps to thin out the sour cream and mayonnaise, resulting in a drizzling texture. You can make the dressing thicker or thinner as desired by reducing or adding the buttermilk.

Although real buttermilk is recommended you can use a DIY buttermilk substitute (1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar and fill 1 cup of milk).

Sour Cream. This ranch dressing is made with sour cream as the foundation. It’s zesty, creamy, and fantastic.

Mayonnaise. To obtain the proper thick and creamy texture, this ranch dressing just requires mayonnaise.

Fresh Herbs. This basic dressing uses fresh herbs such as parsley, dill, and chives. You can also add cilantro if so desired.

Garlic. One garlic clove elevates this dressing to new heights.

Salt and pepper. Salt acts as a flavor enhancer and pepper is another key element in ranch dressing flavor.
