Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Recipe

This homemade buttermilk ranch dressing is delicious over salads or pizzas. Made with buttermilk, sour cream and mayonnaise with fresh herbs, it’ll definitely have a place in your refrigerator every week.

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl and spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients
  

  • cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Combine and mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  • Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • If using dried herb, use ½ teaspoons each (instead of 1 tablespoon).
  • Reduce the buttermilk to ½ cup to make a ranch dip.
  • Good for 1 week in the fridge.
  • Add jalapeno, cayenne pepper or sriracha to spice things up!
  • Buttermilk substitute: 1 cup of milk + 2 tablespoons of lemon juice or vinegar
