Equipment

  • Frying/ cooking pan and stirring spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces beef burger patties
  • 60 grams butter
  • 2 and ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 piece beef broth cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ¼ - ½ teaspoon salt, according to taste
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 230 grams sliced mushroom in can, drained

Instructions

  • In a frying pan, heat oil and fry burger patties until golden brown. Set aside.
  • In the sauce pan/ wok, melt in butter. Once the butter is liquefied, add the flour and mix thoroughly until well combined.
  • Slowly add the water while mixing continuously to avoid any lumps and to properly incorporate to the flour.
  • Once incorporated, add the beef broth cubes, soy sauce, salt and the ground black pepper.
  • Lastly add the sliced mushroom and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Put the gravy on top of the burger patties or add in the beef patties in the gravy to seep in some liquids. This will result in more juicy beef burger steak.
  • Pair with steamed rice and enjoy!

Notes

We want our sauce just to be the right thickness, not too thick and not too thin. If you think that the sauce is too thick, you can add more water little by little until you get the desired results.  On the other hand, if you feel that your sauce is too thin, you can add a little flour until the desired consistency is achieved.
