  • Pan and wooden spoon
  • large pot and pasta spoon or tongs

Ingredients

  • 500 grams uncooked spaghetti
  • water , for boiling the pasta
  • 1 tablespoon salt , for boiling the pasta
  • 1 teaspoon oil, optional
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 500 grams ground pork or beef
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 500 grams tomato sauce
  • 1 bottle (320g) banana ketchup
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 medium carrots, chopped finely
  • 7 pieces hotdogs, sliced diagonally
  • quick-melt cheese or cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

  • In a large pan over medium heat, heat oil. Add the garlic and onion and cook until fragrant and translucent.
  • Add the ground pork and cook until browned while breaking apart with the back of the spoon, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Pour tomato sauce, banana ketchup, oyster sauce, condensed milk, chopped carrots and hotdogs. Stir until well distributed.
  • Cover and let it simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Mix occasionally to evenly cook the meat and to avoid the sauce from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Add ½ cup grated cheese (optional). Taste and season with more salt and pepper if needed.
  • Option 1: Pour the sauce over the spaghetti noodles in a serving dish and sprinkle with grated quick melt cheese or cheddar cheese.
  • Option 2: Turn off heat. Combine the spaghetti noodles with the sauce and mix until well distributed. Transfer to a serving dish and topped with grated cheese. Please see notes.
  • Serve and enjoy!
